My name is Jen Grassler and I am a Licensed Massage Therapist with a passion for solving pain and injury puzzles presented by clients. While Myoskeletal techniques are at the foundation of my approach, I am constantly learning and expanding my knowledge base. The human body is an amazing and diverse ecosphere that never ceases to inspire.
Having experienced a serious back and hip injury that resulted in years of chronic pain and movement restrictions, I understand the mental and emotional toll these kinds of challenges bring. My goal is to assist you on your own personal path of health and wellness.
No pain, all gain.
MY OVERALL FOCUS: To increase your pain free movement and encourage a balanced posture and gate so that you can comfortably and enthusiastically step into life.
MENTORS: Erik Dalton, Allison Denney, Whitney Lowe, John Gibbons, Aubrey Gowing, Til Luchau, Maria Natera, Alison Kanavagh, Diane Matkowski and Brian Abelson and a personal thanks to Judy Slater from Medical Massage and Bodywork-a MMT who has provided professional advice and direction and Tara Labbafi, LMT who provided me with a deeper understanding of assessment and expanded my thought process on bodywork approaches.
HOME LIFE: I live in Bedford with my goats, chickens and cats and spend my free time gardening, hiking, reading, drawing/painting, enjoying different ethnic cuisines with friends and tackling DIY projects. I also recently joined VISA (Virginia Inland Sailing Association) at Smith Mountain Lake.
